Bertha L. Snyder, age 97, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Marion Manor Nursing Home in Marion, Ohio. She formerly lived in the Franklin and Delaware County areas and until recently at Marion Rotary Towers.
She was born September 29, 1913, in Sedalia, Missouri to the late Elmer A. and Eva (Bradley) Norton.
On March 26,1938, she married Vincel L. Snyder who passed away September 22, 1995.
Survivors include her son Harold L. (Rustye K.) Snyder of Prospect,Oh., four grandchildren, Bret R. Snyder, Misti B. (Matt) Gilmore, Kris L. (Beth) and K. Sean (Kelli) Snyder, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Bertha was a member of United Pentecostal Church, Marion Senior Center, and enjoyed sewing and crochet most of her life. She previously worked as a seamstress at Lazarus of Columbus, Ohio, and the Ashley, Ohio Ribbon Co..
Funeral Services will be Monday, April 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Rev. Phillip Alden officiating, followed by burial in Pleasant Township Cemetery. Family will recieve friends one hour prior to the service.
