Georgia E. Parish age 94 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Kingston Residence of Marion.
She was born March 17, 1917 in Marion, Ohio to the late George and Bertha (Young) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, two sisters and two brothers.
She served as a cook for Pleasant School system for eleven years before retiring. She was active in Emmanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for fifty years and touched many lives.
Georgia is survived by one son, Darrel (Annie) Parish of Cumberland Cap, TN., one daughter, Debra Parish of Columbus, OH., seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous close friends.
Funeral services for Georgia will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 11 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 135 Fairview St. with Pastor Ronald Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Frame Cemetery in Meeker, Ohio.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 10 – 11 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 135 Fairview St. Marion, Ohio. The Boyd-Born Funeral is handling the arrangements for the family.
