Lenzie E. Blanton age 66 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his residence.
He was born February 11, 1945 in West Portsmouth, Ohio to Daniel B. and Marie L. (Bailey) Blanton.
On July 7, 1995 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio he married Carolyn J. (Reams) Blanton.
Lenzie attended First Central Ohio Christian Community Church in Marion, Ohio. He formerly worked at Bill Johnson Auto Wrecking and retired from Alloy Cast Steel after 18 years as a crane operator.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Blanton of Marion, his mother, Marie Blanton of Marion, son, Kevin Blanton of Marion, three daughters, Karen Ostrom of Marion, Terri Baker of Marion, Michele Blanton of Marion, two step-daughters, Angela (Jason) Burns of Marion, Michelle Sharp of Marion, twelve grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three brothers, Ronald Blanton of Marion, David Blanton of Marion, LeRoy Blanton of Marion, four sisters, Stella Otworth of Marion, Emma Blanton of Marion, Catherine Blanton of Marion, Katie Jackson of Tacoma, WA., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel B. Blanton, four brothers, Daniel Blanton, Eddie Blanton, Willis Blanton and Leonard Blanton, and one sister, Loraine LeMaster.
Funeral services for Lenzie will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 (11 AM) at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastors Kenneth Wert and Alan Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, april 21, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
