Ruth L. Benner, of Marion, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:50 AM at Partners of Marion. Ruth was 86 years old.
She was born in Green Camp, Ohio December 21, 1924 to the late Dale F. and Clara (Manley) Weston.
She married Charles L. Benner in Greenup, Kentucky August 14, 1942. Charles passed away in Marion November 29, 1997.
Ruth worked 26 years with Plastic Film as a production supervisor. She then worked in customer service for 11 years and retired from Midwest Lettering. She had also worked at Fairfield Engineering during WWII. Although she enjoyed working she enjoyed retirement even more. And most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her son, Gary (Judy) Benner of Marion; daughter, Cathy Klemm of Marion; grandchildren, Kyle (Deborah Patrick) Klemm, Kris Klemm, Christine (Scott) Lodge, Beth Tackett, Jessica Benner, Nicole Watterson, Noelle (Jon) Plush, and Donald L. Benner, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Lodge, Samantha Lodge, Holden Klemm, Christian Benner, Mercedes Benner, and Taylor Tackett; brother, Dick (Pat) Weston of Cardington; sisters, Bonnie Moore of Marion, and Nancy Bailey of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald L. Benner, Sr.; great-grandson, Nicholas Paul Benner; and three brothers, Billy, Bobby, and Don.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 25, 2011 from 11-1 at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Camp Cemetery. Reverend Velazco will officiate the service.
