Dirk “Scott” Malone, age 46, of rural Marion passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at his home.
Scott was born in Marion on March 27, 1965 to Jerry and Lana (Hunt) Malone Stidam.
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and Cincinnati Reds, loved listening to music and watching movies.
Scott was preceded in death by his brother; Chad, maternal grandparents; Naomi & Larry Hunt, paternal grandfather; Marion Malone, uncle; Craig Malone, aunt; Linda Dearth and nephew; Anthony Malone. Surviving are his mother and stepfather; Lana & Jack Stidam, his father; Jerry Malone, grandmother; Della Malone, sister-in-law; Angie Malone, nephews; Josh (Katie) Malone, Jake Malone and Ben Kandel, niece; Sami Kandel and special friends; Tammy Scott and Amanda Burns and her daughter; Brianna.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Brammer officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Garden. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home.
