Dorothy E. Bailey age 94 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Heartland of Marion.
She was born February 12, 1917 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Joseph and Sophia (Cox) Spears.
On February 11, 1961 she married Ernest A. Bailey, he preceded her in death in 1971.
Dorothy was a member of Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Marion and retired after twenty years at Marion General Hospital as a ward secretary.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilma Jones of Marion, a son, William Adams Jr. of Marion, nine grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and a great grandson.
The funeral service for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2011 (12 noon) at TV 39 1282 N. Main St. Marion, Ohio with Pastor Jackie Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2011 from 5 – 9 PM at the Boyd-born Funeral Home.
