Frank P. Resta age 86 of Columbus passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Mt Carmel West.
Born in Marion, Ohio June 9, 1924 to the late Frank P. and V. Lucille (Bowser) Resta.
Frank was in the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. and attained a B.S. degree in Navigation Sciences. He was a systems analyst for the Ohio State Board of Liquor Control retiring in 1989.
He married Margaret (Irvin) Resta and she passed away January 17, 2003.
Frank is survived by one son Bartholomew (Claudia) Resta M.D. of Edenton, N.C., one daughter Sara Resta of Columbus, one brother John (Connie) Sasser, Columbus, one sister Marcia (Bill) Gray of Indianapolis, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding Frank in death are his wife Margaret, one brother Philip E. Resta, and a step-father Carl E. Sasser.
Frank also attended O.S.U, an avid OSU fan and enjoyed traveling to New York City.
Family will receive friends from 12 till 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
