John N. "Walkabout" Sisson, age 44, of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Friday, April 29, 2011.
He attended First Baptist Church of Lenoir City. John was the former vice president of Malibu Boats and was presently with Bryant Boat Co. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, golfing and boating.
Preceded in death by his father, Tom N. Sisson; grandparents, John Wesley Meadows, Alec & Dorothy Sisson, uncles, Bill, John, and Alan Sisson; aunt, Shirley Beecham.
John is survived by his children, Erikah Sisson of Charleston, SC, John Charles "J. C." Sisson of Lenoir City, TN, step father and mother Jim and Lora Lea Dawson, brother Charles E. (Beth) Sisson; sister, Tanya Leonard (David) all of Marion, OH; nephews, Tom and Ryan Sisson, Noah Leonard; niece, Emily Sisson; grandmother, Dora Beatrice Meadows of Marion, OH; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, mother of his children, Becki Sisson Proffitt, special brother-in-law, Phillip (Becky) Addis.
John's family will greet friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services celebrating his life will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the True Life Church, 2209 Marion Waldo Rd. (SR 423), Marion. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery
