Margaret Virginia Forman, 79, of Marion

Margaret Virginia Forman (nee Henderson) went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 13th at Primrose Retirement Community.

Margaret was born to the late Walter & Emma Elizabeth (nee Reed) Henderson on October 20, 1931 in Grafton, W. VA.

She married James Clifford Forman from Albright, W. VA. on August 30, 1947. They were married 57 1/2 years before his death in 2005.

They had five surviving children: Patricia Louise Winders of Sacramento, CA; James David (Sandy) Forman of Marion, OH; John Ray (Sharon) Forman of Shiloh, IL, Charles Allen Forman of Marion, OH, and Elizabeth Ann (Kevin) Forman of Chesterville, OH. There are 12 surviving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters Thelma Mae Robinson, Edna Beatrice Rich, and Audra Madline Snider; her brothers Denzel Ray, Dorsey Lloyd, and Walter Dowden Henderson, all from W. VA; and her daughter Vickie Lynn Forman and great granddaughter Mersadies Jade "Sadie" Chapman of Marion, OH.

Formerly a member of The Marion Christian Center for about 26 years and for the past 9 years was a member of the Victory Center Church of God. Margaret was active in the Food Pantry ministries of both churches and at Victory Center, the "Young at Heart" Senior Ministry.

Margaret's great aunt Ida Lillard Reed was a published hymn-writer in W. VA who wrote over 2,000 hymns and had at least 50 published. Her most famous hymn "I Belong to the King" will be sung by her son, John, at her funeral.

In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in memory of Margaret to the Victory Center Church of God, 1190 E. Fairground St., Marion, OH 43302.

Viewing will take place Thursday May 19th from 4:00-7:00PM at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home at 347 W. Center Street, Marion.  The funeral service will also be held there on Friday, May 20th at 10:30AM followed by her burial at Brush Ridge Cemetery.  Rev. Paul Mitchell and Rev.
