Matthew Allen Morrison passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, May 20, 2011 while working at Whirlpool. He was 37 years old.
Matt was born January 18, 1974 in Morrow County.
Matt was a recent graduate of Marion Technical College. He was a member of Marion Christian Center. He enjoyed working out, and was a 5th Degree Black Belt.
Matt is survived by his parents Jerry and Mardee (Watkins) Lang of Prospect; maternal grandfather Edward Watkins; brothers Virgil C. (B.J.) Hashman of Mt. Gilead, and Robert J. (Brandi) Evans of Aberdeen, NC; sister Marla J. (Jay) Manley of Marion; uncles Michael (Sheryl) and Ricky Watkins of Mt. Gilead; aunt Linda (Jim) Jenkins of Marengo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Orpha Watkins; and sister Mechelle Hashman.
Friends and loved ones may visit with the family Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from Noon-3 PM, and 5-8 PM at Marion Christian Center; 1550 Richland Road, Marion, OH 43302. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26 at 10 AM at Marion Christian Center. Pastor Perry Payne will officiate the service.
