Dorothy J. Adams age 78 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 7, 1933 in Marion, Ohio to the late Stanley and Evelyn (Ault) McCombs.
On November 3, 1970 she married Charles H. "Buck" Adams, he preceded her in death on February 15, 2010.
Dorothy attended Grand Prairie Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed bowling with her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Penni S. James of Marion, OH., Patti L. Garner of New Bloomington, OH., four grandchildren, Chandra (Adam) Thompson of Pickerington, OH., Trent Garner of Pittsburg, PA., Brandon James of New York, NY., Kylee James of Marion, OH., three nephews, Frank (Sharon) McCombs of Waldo, OH., Greg (Mary) Darling of Marion, OH., Mike (Carol) Darling of Marion, OH.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Dana Adams, one sister, Phyllis Darling and one brother, Richard McCombs.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 11 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2011 from 10 – 11 AM for family and friends at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to Grand Prairie Baptist Church or to Marion General Hospice.
