Harold H. "Red" Jester Sr. age 73 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1938 in Circleville, Ohio to the late William J. and Izel (Jolly) Jester.
On October 23, 1993 he married Shelba J. (Christian) Jester.
Harold was employed as a mechanic for Jones Black Top for many years, was a member of the Moose #889 and was an avid bingo player.
He is survived by his wife, Shelba J. Jester of Marion, OH., three children, Harold H. (Kathy) Jester Jr. of Larue, OH., Robert E. (Sheryl) Jester of Larue, OH., Carol Smith of New Bloomington, OH., six step children, Sheryl (Robert) Jester of Larue, OH., Ricky (Tammy) Napper of Marion, OH., David Napper of Florida, Tim Napper of Marion, OH., Rita (William) Maniaci of Prospect, OH., Kathy (Frank) Frazzini of Marion, OH., four granddaughters, Jennifer Jester of Larue, OH., Angela (Christopher) Mermann of Larue, OH., Catina Smith of New Bloomington, OH., Pamela Smith of New Bloomington, OH., one grandson, Billy Smith of New Bloomington, OH., 55 step grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters, Agnus (Robert) Schroeder of Ashville, OH., Norme Jean Jester of Circleville, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a grandson, Rickki Smith and a son in law, Kermit Smith.
Funeral Services for Harold will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 11 AM at Good Faith Baptist Church, 706 E. Mark St. Marion, with William Maniaci officiating. Burial will follow at Larue Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-born Funeral Home.
