Hilda L. Smith age 86 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Partners of Marion.
She was born January 25, 1925 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Ethel (Robertson) Brown.
On October 17, 1943 in Chester, W. VA., she married Earl E. Smith Sr., he survives in Marion and have been married 67 years.
Hilda was a member of Central Christian Church and the Pleasant Senior Citizens Center in Marion. She has been a resident of Marion for 17 years, she previously lived in East Liverpool, Ohio where she was employed as the office manager for 25 years at Martin Funeral Home, she retired from there in 1987.
She is survived by her husband, Earl E. Smith Sr. of Marion, OH., a son, Earl E. (Diana) Smith Jr. of Alvin, TX., a son in law, Sam Sandefer of Marion, OH., 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Hilda was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Sandefer, 2 sisters, Pauline Myers and Mary Ellen Fowler, 3 brothers, Robert Brown, Lawrence Brown and Paul Brown.
Funeral Services for Hilda will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 1 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Bud Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
