Jimmie Lee Allen Brutchey, age 38, of Marion, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, June 15, 2011, at home.
He was born in Marion on August 16, 1972, to the late Harlos V. Brutchey and Sue Blankenship Brutchey VanGorden who survives along with step-father Robert VanGorden of Virginia.
Jimmie previously worked as a clerk for gasoline service stations and a cook at Something Good. He enjoyed gardening and jewelry making, but most of all his nieces and nephews.
Other survivors include 4 sisters, Rebecca (Mike) Miracle, Shelby, Ohio, Janet (Bill) Ulery, Lakeview, Ohio, Ella (PJ) McGeorge, Marion, and Kelly Brutchey, Marion, a brother, John (Louise) Brutchey, Galion, Ohio, and grandfather, Charlie Blankenship, Lakeview. Besides his father,he was preceded in death by grandmother Luella Blankenship and grandparents John E. and Ella Mae Brutchey.
Jimmie had an "old soul" for the short life he lived. The wisdom and advice he gave to his nieces and nephews, they will forever remember. He always had so much love to give to others. He was always witty and snappy with a quick comeback and no one could touch his sense of humor. He wrote a letter once telling his favorite thing to do was sleep and "dream", so now Jimmie, you can sleep, and those dreams you had you can send to us. He didn't realize just how many friends he had or lives he touched. He has left behind a void in a lot of hearts that will never be filled. You can now R.I.P. in your "Happy Place" as you and Brittany always said, "I can't be near you, the light just radiates".
