Erdine L. Grose, 83, of Richwood

Erdine L. Grose age 83 of Richwood, died early Sunday Morning July 10, 2011 at Heartland of Marysville.

She was born February 5, 1928 in Mt. Victory to the late Percy and Celesta (Pinney) Brown, she was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 grandson Bryan Williams.

Surviving is her loving family: her husband of 66 years Paul, they were married March 31, 1945 in Findlay, 2 daughters: Susan (Al) Doss of Richwood and Becky (Steve) Ballinger of Prospect, 2 Sons: Lester (Mary Jo) Grose of Marion and Steve Grose of Cape Coral, Florida. 5 Grandchildren: Andy (Wanda) Williams of New Bloomington, Lori (Donny) Connor of Gahanna, Todd (Annie) Ballinger of Bellefontaine, Nathan (Jodi ) Grose of Bellefontaine and Katie (Justin) Carlyle of Marion. 9 Great Grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. 1 sister: Sally (Ralph) Sayre of Marion and 5 Brothers: Charles (Shirley) Brown of Byhalia, Russell (Virginia) Brown of Byhalia, Guy (Delores) Brown of Mt.Victory, Bernard (Sandy) Brown of Marion and Ervin Brown of Marion. Close Cousins whom she was raised with: Grace (Lauren) Lingrel of Mt. Victory and Margaret Koetz of Marysville.

Erdine and Paul were owners of the former Richwood Implement where she was book keeper for many years. She also worked at the former Richwood IGA, and Richwood Cardinal Market and retired from McAuliffe’s Hardware in Marysville.

Coming from the size of the family she did made her 83 years of life all about family.

An additional joy in her life was her dog, Fritz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, where friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm, Pastor Jerry McQueen will officiate, burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery.
