James M. Hickman age 63 of Crestline, Ohio, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Heartland of Buryrus in Bucyrus, Ohio.
He was born January 16, 1947 in Marion, Ohio to Delmar C. and Thelma L. (James) Hickman. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Morral, Ohio.
On March 12, 1994 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Jim married his loving wife, Merideth S. Borg who survives in Crestline.
He was retired as a machinist with the former General Motors Plant in Ontario, Ohio. James was also a lifetime member of the Marion Y-Mens Service Club, joining in 1979. He also farmed for many years in Morral with his father.
Other survivers to James include a son, a daughter and two granddaughters who he truly adored and who truly adored him; Joseph A. (Sarah) Hickman of Marion, Ohio, Jena M. (Roger) Fischer of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Jorja and Kelsey Hickman. A sister, Rose (Foy) Potts of Morral, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. And last but not least, James is survived by their five dogs; Darby, Arlo, Marley, Hope and Tennielle.
On Sunday July 24, 2011 at 7:00 P.M., there will be a Memorial Service for Jim at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Caledonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday three hours prior to the service from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
