Jerry N. Saylor age 74 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1937 in Harlen County, Ky., to the late John Harmon and Mary O. (Hensley) Saylor.
Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, he was a member of Calvary Cliffton Lodge #700 F.A.&M in Cicinnati, Ohio. He retired in 2006 after 8 years at TODCO as a machinist.
He is survived by four daughters, Merry A. (Terry) Ritchie of Hamilton, OH., Jennifer J. Staten of Marion, OH., Rebecca S. (Dean) Goble of Sycamore, OH., Racheal C. Jordan of Upper Sandusky, OH., 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, John Harmon Saylor Jr. of Harrison, OH., Ernie Saylor of Cincinnati, OH., 2 sisters, Mossy Raines of Norwood, OH., Doris Peace of Norwood, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Saylor, and a son in law, Michael L. Thompson.
Visitation for Jerry will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 12 – 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 4 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Scott Layne officiating, burial will be held at a later date.
