Mary Jane Burton age 77 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday July 3, 2011 at the Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born February 3, 1934 in LaRue, Ohio to the late Carl and Lenora (McWade) Whitman.
On July 10, 1961 in Larue, Ohio, Mary married Howard Burton and he preceded her in death.
Mary was a 1953 graduate of LaRue High School, a member of Grace Baptist Church and she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a homemaker.
Surviving Mary are four brothers; Kenneth "Pete" Whitman of Brandenburg, Ky., Charles (Marilee) Whitman of Freemont, Michigan, Robert (Carol) Whitman of Marysville, Ohio and David (Kathy) Whitman of Grand Lake, Colorado. Also, numerous nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services for Mary will be Wednesday July 6, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Bill Middleton. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Victory, Ohio.
