Dorothy Mae Moore Crawford, age 84, of Galion, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at her son's residence in Mount Gilead.
Dorothy was born on March 8, 1927 in Galion, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Bonen Moore. She graduated from Dover High School in northern Ohio.
On July 27, 1954, Dorothy married Vernon M. Crawford. They shared over 44 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 29, 1999.
Dorothy will always be remembered as a quiet and sweet woman who loved being outdoors working in her yard or listening to classical music.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by her two sons: Gary (Gracie) Crawford of Mount Gilead, Blaine (Angela) Crawford of Upper Sandusky; two brothers: Jim Moore of Galion and John Moore of Columbus; and two sisters: Helen Moore and Shirley Host, both of Galion.
Memorial services for Dorothy will be held at a later date. A private family burial will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery in Galion.
