John Edward Huff, age 72, of Marion, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011.
John was born in Wilmington, OH on August 30, 1938. He was the son of Edward Ethan and Miriam (Connor) Huff.
John graduated from the Wilmington High School and then spent 4 years attending the University of Cincinnati. John worked as an area construction engineering manager for the General Telephone Company and retired in 1995.
John was an active member of the Elks Lodge #32, the VFW and the American Legion. He also loved boating, gardening and playing euchre. John will be remembered as a family man, especially enjoying his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Teresa (Tener) Huff; his children: Troy (Debbie) Huff, Holly (Paul) Warner, Chris (Kristina) Huff and Greg (Jennifer) Huff; his grandchildren: Travis and Taylor Huff, Lily and Natalie Warner, Tyler and Trace Huff; one sister Carolyn Vance Jones; Niece Debi (William) Vance Scaff; Nephew Doug (Billie) Vance.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held Friday at the funeral home at 1PM.
