John H. Caudill age 86 of Marion, Ohio formerly of Point Pleasant, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Community Health Care Center.
He was born November 21, 1924 in Mason County, W.Va. to the late Willard B. and Carrie E. (Dabney) Caudill.
On September 14, 1946 he married Jeanne (Austin) Caudill.
John was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, he was employed at Marion Dresser as an inspector for 30 years, and was Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Caudill of Marion, OH., daughter, Pamela Crouch of Marion, OH., sons, John R. (Pat) Caudill of Marion, OH., L. Benton (Carol) Caudill of Stockport, OH., Jeff J. Caudill of Marion, OH., six grandchildren, Thomas Ballinger Jr. of Dublin, CA., Cynthia (Roger) Johns of Greencastle, PA., Alicia (Jeff) Colburn of Lawrenceville, GA., Brian (Tara) Caudill of Commercial Point, OH., Kimberly (Dave) Walter of Commercial Point, OH., Jami Caudill of Marion, OH., nine great grandchildren, a brother, Dallas L. Caudill of Marion, OH., sisters, Jewell Bordman of Point Pleasant, W.VA., June Nibert of Point Pleasant, W.Va., and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Charles L. Caudill, four brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 @ 11:30 AM at Grand Prairie Cemetery with Rev. David Lippert officiating. The Boyd-Born Funeral is honored to handle the arrangements for the family.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donors choice in John's name.
