Our gracious Lord, has taken Mary Ann (Williams) Myers into his arms this day, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, mentor, and courage to all that crossed her path on this earth. Mary passed away Tuesday morning, August 2, 2011 at Marion General Hospital just before 6:00 a.m. at the age of 74.
With Carroll by her side always, she helped guide the way for her children, all of which she has held precious in her heart. Creating a welcoming home, she fed her friends and family with her cooking, words of encouragement and comfort, and wondrous tales of days gone by.
She was born October 12, 1936 in Marion, and wed on April 10, 1954 to her best friend and husband Carroll.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carroll Myers, sons Michael (Mary) Myers, Patrick (Colleen) Myers, andTerry (Deb) Myers, granchildren Heather Myers, Chris (Rachel) Myers, Corey Myers, and Danielle Myers, and great-grandchild Gavin Bierma.
Mary was the daughter of Irey and Susan (Nusser) Williams, who were the respective son and daughter of William Williams (with wife Florence Irey) and Roy Nusser ( with his wife Gertrude Buckingham). Her siblings surviving are Martha (Ronald) Warrick, Carolyn (Ralph) Rapp, Lewis (Pam) Williams, and Diane Sinden. Her siblings proceeding her in death are Irey (Junior),Jerry (Marlene), and Susan Williams.
Mary was always concerned for those around her, never dwelling on her own issues even as her bodily strength was compromised.
