Don F. Jerew, 88, of Marion

Don F. Jerew age 88 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Kingston Residence of Marion.

He was born July 3, 1923 in Marion, Ohio to the late Chard and Ella (Ritzler) Jerew.

On May 16, 1943 he married Betty (Carpenter) Jerew, she preceded him in death on March 31, 2010.

Don retired from Erie & Conrail Railroad in 1983 as an engineer after 41 years of service. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Hicks & Chicks of Marion, Satellite Dance Club of Columbus.

Don is survived by a nephew, great nephews and many friends from his chuch family and dancing club friends.

Funeral services for Don will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 @ 1 PM at Emanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Schuring officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, September 9, 2011 from 12 – 1 PM at Emanuel Lutheran Church, the Boyd-Born Funeral Home is honored to serve Don's family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Chuch.
