Flaudean Schlairet, 92, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Marion General Hospital.
Flaudean was born November 22, 1918 to Squire and May Fishburn in Mt Vernon, Ohio.
On November 27, 1936, she was united in Marriage to James Bernard Schlairet. Her beloved husband preceded her in death on February 23, 1960.
Flaudean was affectionately known as "Flo".
She sadly leaves behind her six Children: Mrs. Judy (James) Gmeiner, Port Charlotte, FL; James Michael (Sandy) Schlairet, Columbus, OH; Stephen Joseph Schlairet (Ozzie Russ, partner); Chipley, FL; Mrs. Jane (Tom) Manley, Marion, OH; Mrs. Mary Jo (Bill) Haberman, Columbus, OH; Drs. Timothy John (Maura) Schlairet, Valdosta, GA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister Mary Mintier, Novi, MI. Her sister Matilda Snively, of Mansfield, OH. preceded her in death.
In 1984, Flaudean retired from GTE. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was a booster of St Mary's Grade School and Marion Catholic High School. She enjoyed playing bridge, quilting, gardening, shopping and bowling. She was an avid sports fan and loved her Buckeyes, Bengals, and Reds.
Loving thanks for her many friends who have loved her and helped her during her long life's journey.
Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday September 30, 2011, at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:30 a.m., at St Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received at th Knights of Columbus Hall immediately following the graveside.
