Troy E. Hamm Sr. age 73 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Heartland of Marion.
He was born February 27, 1938 in Greenup, Ky., to the late Lorren E. and Goldie M. (Blevins) Hamm.
On October 15, 1960 in Larue, Ohio he married Mary D. (Showers).
Troy was employed for twenty nine and a half years at Eaton Corporation and was a member of the Lighthouse of Prayer in Marion.
He is survived by his wife, Mary D. Hamm of Marion, OH., daughter, Pamela (Donald E.) Greenawalt of Green Camp, OH., two sons, Troy E. (Lisa) Hamm Jr. of Green Camp, OH., Marvin (Vicky) Hamm of Upper Sandusky, OH., eight grandchildren, one step grandson, four great grandchildren, five brothers, Charlie Hamm of Marion, OH., Ernest Hamm of Marion, OH., Larry Hamm of Marion, OH., Preston Hamm of Lancaster, OH., Elmer Hamm of Marion, OH., four sisters, Betty Blackburn of Marion, OH., Ethel Wormell of Columbus, OH., Linda Blevins of Marion, OH., Brenda Summers of AZ., Janis Cox of Galion, OH., his best friend- Nikie his dog, friends, Payne Patrick and Jack Shadd.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jim, Ralph, and Billy, three sisters, Donna, Virginia, and Martha Lee.
A memorial services for Troy will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 @ 11 AM at the Lighthouse of Prayer, 788 N. Main St. with Pastor Owen Lindsey officiating. The boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
