Monroe G. "Fed" Combs age 59, the Lord called him home Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
He was born September 14, 1952 in Perry County, Vicco, KY, to the late Harrison "Bub" and Minnie (Smith) Combs Jr. he was one of 13 children.
Monroe was employed as a machinist at Alloy Cast Steel for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Lana (Scott) Verrocchil of Marion, three sons, Danny R. (Gloria) Combs of Marion, Monroe G. (Wendy) Combs Jr. of Marion, Shawn Combs of Marion, grandchildren, Danny R. Combs Jr., Cody Combs, Barry Johnson, Scott Verrocchil, Calvin Combs, Patty Combs (Josh) Eaton, Breanna Combs, great grandchildren, Breanna Kelly and Browdy Lowe, brothers, Floyd (Dorthy) Combs of Marion, Granville (Polly) Combs of Marion, Sherman (Bessie) Combs of Austin, IN, Denver (Vicky) Combs of Marion, Lloyd Combs of Marion, sisters, Bertha (George) Elkins of Marion, Shirley (Richard) Crabtree of Marion, Glenda Forman of Marion and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Monroe was preceded in death by Russell Combs, Elbert Combs, Mallie Combs, Della Combs and Aderianna Ballinger.
Funeral Services for Monroe will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 @ 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Pastor Denver Combs officiating, burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
