Timothy H. Peacock, age 68, of Marion, passed away peacefully Friday, November 4, 2011 at his home with care provided by family and Odyssey Hospice.
Tim Peacock was the owner of Peacock Water in Marion, Ohio, which was founded by his parents in 1953.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he began working in the family business in 1972. He expanded Peacock Water to include locations in Kenton, Upper Sandusky, Bucyrus, Norwalk, and Lima. Tim’s two sons have been working with him at Peacock Water for over 12 years and plan to continue their fathers’ work.
Tim was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing pool, and loved to travel. He had a gentle nature and a superb sense of humor. His calm, positive outlook served him well in business and in his personal life. He was a generous man who selflessly shared his time and resources with family, friends, and employees.
Timothy was born on August 2, 1943 in Marion, Ohio to the late Neldon and Alice (Neidig) Peacock. Survivors include his three children, Tim J. (CoCo) Peacock, Ami Peacock, Andy (Krista and son Christopher) Peacock; two grandchildren, Clayton and Seth Peacock; his first wife, Regina; brother, Al (Pat) Peacock of Kotzebue, Alaska. One brother preceded Tim in death, Ned Peacock.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, 347 West Center St., Marion, with prayers to be held at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Church at 251 North Main St., Marion, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011. Interment will be held in St Mary's Cemetery. in Marion, Ohio. There will be a luncheon following at Knights of Columbus.
