Trent Allen Garner was called home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, November 8, 2013, from the Marion General Hospital. He had battled health issues for 11 years. After facing death at age 16, Trent gained a new perspective on what it meant to live.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on September 2, 1986 to Ted A. and Patti L.(Adams) Garner. They both survive along with his stepmother; Pam Garner.
Trent was a 2005 graduate of Ridgedale High School and attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute for 4 years.
Trent easily touched lives with his kindness and sense of humor, and even with his final words, he was always the eternal gentleman. He attended the Grand Prairie Baptist Church.
Trent was employed by the Men’s Warehouse and Barnes & Noble Book Store while living in Pittsburgh and later was employed as a dealer for the Hollywood Casino in Columbus, Ohio.
Surviving along with his parents are grandparents; Lloyd & Flora Ann Garner of Marion, Oh., a sister; Chandra (Adam) Thompson of Pickerington, Oh., a nephew; Liam Thompson, 1st cousins; Brandon & Kylee James and Tim & Tom Garner, and his aunt; Penni James of Marion, Oh.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Pastor Gene Parker will conduct the funeral service in the Grand Prairie Baptist Church on Friday at 12:00 noon with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Trent Garner Memorial Fund through the Grand Prairie Baptist Church.
In the words of Trent, “If God has a plan for us, then I have reached my goal and I am ready for rest.”
