Timothy Dale Conley, 61, of Marion passed away from heart failure on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his home.
Tim was born in Marion, OH. on February 12, 1955 to Herbert “Doc” and Velma Conley who preceded him in death.
Tim is survived by his wife, Lisa, and two sons he loved dearly; Joseph of Marion and Bryan and his wife; Janine of Clearwater, FL., two brothers; Terry (Anne) Conley of Willard, OH. & Rick Conley of Marion, and a sister; Rita (Craig) Grimes of Marion as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved pets; Bradley, Bella, & Tom.
After graduation from Marion Harding High School in 1973, Tim enlisted in the United States Army with his best friend and cousin; Max Ralston. They were stationed at Fort Hood, Texas where Tim was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, a disease that was a life-long challenge.
Tim loved to hunt, fish, and play all sports until limited by the arthritis. He especially loved to play basketball and continued to play pushing through the pain until recent years. He was a man with a big heart who loved to take care of animals without a home. He had a great sense of humor and was truly at his happiest when making other people laugh.
After his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to Marion and worked at the Marion Federal Savings and Loan and Verizon.
In celebration of Tim’s life, family and friends will join together in a memorial service held at the Heritage Bible School, 193 Marion-Williamsport Rd., Marion at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. The family will receive friends following the service.
