Geraldine “Jerrie” Cellar, age 70 , of Waldo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 10:47 AM in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born on June 25, 1946 in Hartley, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Rita M. (Tackett) Hampton.
Jerrie married Robert Cellar in Marion, Ohio on June 20, 1962 and he survives in Waldo.
She retired as a cook with the Marion General Hospital after 10 years of service there and later in life became a homemaker.
Surviving along with her husband are a son; Jim Cellar of Waldo, OH., a brother; David (Nancy) Hampton of Waldo, OH., a sister; Christine Chapman of Marion, OH., five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter; Lora “Cellar” Minnich and four brothers.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14, 2016, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Pastor Dwight Hord will conduct the funeral service on Monday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
