Mabel Finley, age 91, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. On February 2, 1925, she was born to the late George and Frankie (Williamson) Allen, and on August 13, 1942, she married the late Lones Finley in Greenup, Kentucky.
Mabel loved to sew when she was younger, and she enjoyed doing crafts and gardening.
She is survived by her sons Delbert Finley of Caledonia and Lones Finley of Marion; her daughters Alfredia Tackett of Marion and Phyllis Ann (Donald) Bray of Larkspur, Colorado; her brothers D.C. Allen, Dennis Wallace, and James Tomlin; her sister Sylvia Lou Craft; her eight grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; and her one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her very dear daughter-in-law Glenda Finley.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lones; her son Jerry; her two brothers Oscar Caldwell and Herbert Maynard; her three sisters Ruby Finley, Leona Mills, and Marie Robinson; her grandson Chad Finley; and her son-in-law Bob Tackett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home from 11 AM to 1 PM. Services will follow at 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Delmas Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
