Harry “Dick” Price, 93, of Marion

Harry “Dick” PriceHarry “Dick” Price, age 93 of Marion, passed away on Monday September 26, 2016 at Brookdale of Marion.

Dick was born on June 4, 1923 in Marion, the son of Harry Blake and Nellie Grace (Roberts) Price. He graduated from Claridon High School. Dick was a very hard working man; working for the Unites States Postal Service, Tecumseh, Bank One and farming.

Dick had a love of sports. He was involved with the Baseball for Youth in Claridon and loved to cheer on the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Dick was the scorekeeper for River Valley football and basketball games for many years. He also enjoyed gardening, but most of all, it was time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. Dick was a faithful member of the Salem United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his children: Mike Price, Greg (Jackie) Price, Scott (Deb) Price and Becky (Peter) Youll; Dwight “Rosey” Roseberry who is like a son; grandchildren: Gene (Cathleen) Imbody, Eric Price, Kadi (Jeremy) Scheeler, Lauren (Adam) Lawson, Sarah (Tyler) McNeal and Paige (Fiancé Kim Haynes) Youll; 4 great grandchildren and his sister Mary Ellen Wickersham.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Margaret (Austin) Price; brother John S. Price and brother in law Russell Wickersham.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Funeral services will be held Saturday at Salem United Methodist Church, 1640 Salem Rd, Caledonia at 10:30 with Revs. Beth Ann Mansperger and Jim VanMeter officiating; Burial will be in Claridon Cemetery.
