Martha M. Morgan, age 76, of Marion, died Wednesday afternoon, September 21, 2016, at the Presidential Center.
Martha was born on April 2, 1940, one of eight children of the late Mildred (Yoakam) Miller.
On November 1, 1959, Martha married the love of her life Richard E. Morgan. Together they shared just a few months short of 50 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2009.
A loving homemaker, Martha made sure the needs of her husband and five children were always taken care.
Always in search of a good deal, Martha loved attending yard sales and thrift shops, rummaging for the specials.
Never short of words, Martha was a talker! She also enjoyed Bingo and visiting with friends.
Above all, Martha loved her family. They were her life.
She will be missed by her five children: Richard (Karen) Morgan of Princeton, WV, John Morgan, Terry Morgan, Pamela (James) Wilson, and Dean (Mercie) Morgan, all four of Marion; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Osborne; a special friend, Joe Litz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including her husband and mother, Martha was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Her family will greet friends from Noon – 2 p.m. on Friday, September 23, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services honoring her life will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
