William “Theodore” Duncan, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Presidential Center in Marion.
On December 28, 1926, William “Theodore” entered this world to the late Harvey Owen and Bertha Levina (Hogsett) Duncan in Chesterhill, Ohio. On December 4, 1949, he married the late Clea M. Nolan in Marion, Ohio.
William “Theodore” proudly served our country during WWII in the United States Army. He worked for the Erie Lackawanna/CSX railroad as a diesel mechanic supervisor. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
William “Theodore” is survived by his three daughters: Joanna (Roy) Postle of Marysville, OH, Starla M. Jarrett of Marion, OH, and Angela E. (Sue Smith) Duncan of Marion, OH; two sons: Jeffrey (Sandy) Duncan of Marion, OH and Stuart M. Duncan of Marion, OH; one brother: Calvin Duncan of Glouster, OH; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 starting at 10am to 11am. Graveside service will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at around 11:30am with military service by the Marion County United Veterans Council.
