Carolyn Sue Tripp passed away on October 8, 2016. She died of natural causes having been a victim of dementia for over 5 years.
Sue was born on June 5, 1929 in Bowling Green Ohio to Lyle and Dorothy (Householder) McGuire. Sue graduated from Bowling Green High school in 1947. She was artistic, crafty and a great seamstress. She was primarily a homemaker, but held a number of part time positions through the years, including a town council position in Marengo, Ohio. She read books almost continuously and could talk on most subjects. She had strong opinions and could and would answer most questions immediately. She was usually correct in her opinions and would tell you so. She was always quick witted and enjoyed a good joke.
In 1949, while living and working in Columbus she met Jay Tripp and they married on March 25th, 1950. The same year they bought a 5 acre farm in Marengo, Ohio and set up housekeeping. They raised 3 children: Danial (Candy) of Marion, DeEtte (Mel Costas) of Marion and Mike (Mary) of Marion; whom all survive her. She also has 4 grandchildren and their families as survivors.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Robert McGuire; and her daughter in law, Jan.
As per her there will be no services.
If so desired memorial contributions can be sent to Dementia Foundation of America in memory of Carolyn Sue Tripp.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff at Kingston Memory Care and Marion Manor both for their devoted service in her care over the last 5 years.
