Kenneth “Kenny” L. Cooper, 58, of Morral

Kenneth “Kenny” L. Cooper, age 58, of Morral passed away on Wednesday September 28 at Marion General Hospital after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Kenny was born on Thursday September 4, 1958 to Roy E. and Velma Cooper in Elizabeth, West Virginia.

Kenny was a 1976 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School.  After graduation he enlisted into the United States Army.  He proudly served his country for 7 years and achieved the rank of sergeant.

Kenny was employed at Marion Industries for the past 17 years.  He was a dedicated employee and went into work every day until he was no longer able to do so because of his illness.

On April 1, 2013 Kenny married the love of his life, Deanna Oney.  Together they enjoyed three short years of marriage.

Kenny was a simple man.  Family meant the world to him.  His love for his family had no limits.  He cherished every moment he had with them and the memories that were made.  He was so proud of being a father and grandfather.  Every chance he got to brag about his family he did so.

Kenny will be dearly missed by his loving wife Deanna Cooper; sons Joshua, Jared, Caleb (Holly Oberdier), C. Matthew (Kendyl), and Seth(Lyndsey); daughter Andrea (Brian) Niro; stepchildren Kristen (Robert) Floro, James Rhodes, Cory Oney, and Earick Wals; brother Roy E. Cooper; sisters Susan Cooper and Darlene Cooper; niece Jordan Lewis; parents Roy (Pamela) Cooper and Velma Schwaderer, and 16 grandchildren.

He was greeted at heavens gates by his daughter Sara Cooper.

Kenny’s family will greet friends on Friday October 7, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home located at 360 East Center Street Marion.  Miltary honors and services celebrating his life will follow.
