Ruthann Hinaman, age 88, of Marion passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born in Marion, Ohio on August 2, 1928 to the late Fred and Susan (Miley) Haskell.
Ruthann received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Capital University and a Masters Degree from Ashland College. She went on to teach in both the Marion City School system and at Tri-Rivers Vocational School for 30 years before her retirement in 1989.
Ruthann married Virgil L. Hinaman on August 12, 1951 in Marion and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2006. They both were longtime members of the Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Ruthann is survived by a son; Gary A. (Paulette) Hinaman of Marion, OH., a daughter; Jane L. Hinaman of Columbus, OH. and a grandson; Gregory Hinaman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Virgil, a brother; Donald Haskell, and two sisters; Freda Cole & Lucille Casey.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Kevin Kehn A.I.M. will conduct the funeral service in the Emanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, November 4, 2016, at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.
