Florence C ”Dotty” Akers age 89 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Marion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born March 5, 1927 in Marion, Ohio to the late Elmer J. and Laura E. (Stickney) Wilson.
On June 13, 1992 she married Claude Akers. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2002.
Florence was a nurse’s aide at Hillside Nursing Home for 8 years.
She is survived by her niece, Diana (Carl) Brown of Galion, Ohio and her nephew, Charles Wilson of Tiffin, Ohio and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Florence will be held Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2 – 4 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Middleton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Camp Cemetery.
