Willis D. “Boomer” Lewis, age 66, of Marion, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at home following an extended illness.
On May 15, 1950, Boomer was born in Marion, Ohio, one of two children of the late Willis and Jana (Smith) Lewis. He graduated from Marion Harding High School.
Following high school, Boomer enlisted to serve his country as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam War.

Boomer was a member of the Marion Masonic Lodge #70 and the Moose Lodge in Galion. Formerly, he was a member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church in Marion.
An avid Ohio State University fan, Boomer loved rooting on his beloved Buckeyes!
Most important of all to Boomer was his family. He cherished every moment spent with them, and most especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Boomer was a “barrel of fun”, who will be missed by his beloved fiancé, Deb (Williams) Glenn; four children: Michele (Jamie) Stahl, Wendy (Keith) Large, Steven Lewis, and Jamie Lewis; three step-children: Robert (Adrian) Glenn, Jason Glenn, and Amy Glenn; fifteen grandchildren: Andrew and Christina Benningfield, James Henry Stahl, Ashley and Wesley Walker, Steven Werner and Chase Large, Gabriella and Grant Glenn, Colton Martin, and Kailyn Neubacher; three great-grandchildren: Michael and Evelyn Benningfield, and Aurora Walker; a sister, Mary Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.
