Rhoda E. Prater, age 78, of Caledonia, formerly of Marion, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 10:05 PM in the Marion General Hospital.
She was born in Salyersville, Kentucky on November 12, 1938 to the late Sam and Jessie (Williams) Borders.
She was married to Eddie Prater who preceded her in death on March 11, 1998 in Marion, Ohio.
Rhoda was a member of the Crissinger Road Freewill Baptist Church and retired from the Quaker Oats Company as a machine operator after many years of service there.
Surviving are two sons; Ronald Prater of Caledonia, OH. & Dewayne Prater of Ridgeway, OH., two brothers; Cory (Judy) Borders of Caledonia, OH. & Eddie Borders of Columbus, OH., a sister; Lorene (Ron) Ratliff of Marion, OH., a grandson; Jed David Prater, and a great grandson; Cash David Prater. Rhoda was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Crissinger Road Freewill Baptist Church on Monday, June 19, 2017, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jerry Copley will be officiating and burial will be in the Caledonia Cemetery following the service.
