Billy B. Howard, Sr., age 80 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Marion General Hospital. On June 21, 1937, he was born to the late Carl and June (Martin) Howard in Floyd County, Kentucky, and on June 22, 1962, he married his wife Birdie (Wallen) Howard, who still survives in Marion. They were married for 56 years.
Billy loved fishing and the outdoors, and he enjoyed playing card games, especially Uno. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, and he was a big fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. He worked for over 20 years at HPM in Mount Gilead.
He is survived by his wife Birdie; his son Billy (Lisa) Howard, Jr., of Marion; his daughters Debbie (Doyle) Reed of Marion and Sandy (Tony) Hall of Wharton, Ohio; his brother Charles Randal Howard; his grandchildren Roshaun, Keona, and Michael (Alexis) Keese, Bryan, Brandon, and Brock Howard, and Alexia Hall; and nine great-grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Gebhardt Enterprise Baptist Church, 894 Gebhardt St., Marion, Ohio. Services will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
