Ben Cumston, age 83 of Marion, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 at Marion Manor.
Ben was born on August 9, 1934 in Morrow County, the son of James and Margaret (Kraner) Cumston. He graduated from Cardington High School in the class of 1953.
On March 30, 1973, Ben was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Klingel. Together they have shared adventures for over 45 years.
Ben was a man with a tremendous work ethic. He was the owner and operator of a painting business that kept him very busy. He was a talented and gifted woodworker. His clocks and tables are legendary and will forever be cherished. Not only was he a gifted woodworker, but a leather worker as well.
Ben and Joyce loved life and made memories that will last a lifetime. There countess trips all around the world with each other and with their friends are times that will never be forgotten. They saw the majesty of the Holy Lands, the beauty of England, Germany and France and the breathtaking beaches of paradise in Mexico.
He is survived by his devoted wife Joyce Ann Cumston; sons: Michael (Carleen) Cumston, Tom Dye and Tim Dutton; grandchildren: Nathaniel and Fallon Cumston; and siblings: Don (Kathy) Cumston and Barbara Ulrick.
Ben is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Vickie Cumston
Visitation will be Thursday May 31, 2018 at Peace Community Church of Christ, 4061 Columbus-Sandusky Rd S, Marion, OH 43302 from 10AM to 11AM. Services honoring his life will follow there at 11:15AM with Rev. Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow in Waldo Cemetery.
