Gary Lee Collins, 65, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, May 20, 2018.
He was born on May 23, 1952 to Elmer and the late Erma Collins in Lima, Ohio. He married his wife Karlotta (Stratton) Collins on December 22, 1973.
Gary built his life full of friends, serving his community through the Marion and Allen County Sheriff’s Offices, and Ridgedale and River Valley schools. He enjoyed loving on his grand kids, coaching football, training K-9s, and classic cars.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Karlotta Collins; father, Elmer Collins; two sons and their families, Matthew, Evie, Owen & Quinn Collins and Derrick, Cassie, Kynlee, and Raelynn Collins; sisters, Debbie Bryant and Sondie (Mark) Reed; beloved family; and friends.
Family and friends may visit and honor Gary on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 5 to 7:30pm at Cornerstone Alliance Church, 2010 Marion-Marysville Rd. in Marion. Funeral services will take place at the church on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to cover funeral expenses.
