William Lee Swartz, age 74 of Marion, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1943 in Marion, Ohio, the son of the late Paul Swartz and Donna Lyons. Bill graduated in 1959 from Harding High School and worked at Probst Supply Company for over 46 years before his retirement. Bill served in the National Guard for two years.
Bill was a sportsman in golf, tennis, pitching horseshoes, and billiards.
Bill married Marilyn Amrine on November 4, 1966. She survives along with his caring and loving children: Mary (Rob) Eubanks of Texas, Emily (Kyle) Klaiber of Marion, and Andy (Kara Winslow) Swartz of Columbus, Ohio. His siblings are his brother Jack (Bonnie) Swartz of Wadsworth, Ohio, and sister Cathy (Gerhard) Dill of Painesville, Ohio.
Also surviving are his 8 precious grandchildren: Madison Meachem, Kylie, Krissy, Alexis, Avery, and Aleece Klaiber, and Hailey and Logan Eubanks.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM. Rev. Craig Lewis will be conducting the service at 1 PM. Burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery.
