Browns Fall to Eagles 17-16

The Cleveland Browns players took many lessons from Sunday’s 17-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

When the clock ticked down to zero and the Cleveland Browns walked into the home locker room at Cleveland Browns Stadium after a 17-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on opening day of the 2012 regular season, veteran linebacker D’Qwell Jackson took a look around.

What he saw was disappointment in the eyes of his teammates.

“As I walked into the locker room, I saw a lot of guys and you could tell it meant something to them,” Jackson said. “ The younger guys come from programs where they’ve won and they’re not used to it. That’s a good thing. A lot of those guys were upset about losing. I thought on both sides of the ball, we played a hard-fought game. I’ve been through it enough. What I can do is teach the younger guys that we have 15 more weeks and to take the positives out of this game.”

The biggest positive for Jackson, who collected a fumble and registered an interception return for a touchdown in the setback, was competing for four quarters with the Eagles.
