The Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month Winners for December 2013 are Drew Garverick of Pleasant, Caleb Osborne of Ridgedale, and Gabrielle Gooding of River Valley.
Gabrielle “Gigi” Gooding is a freshman swimmer for River Valley. During the month of December she set the following school records: 100 freestyle in 57.83, 100 backstroke 104.58, 50 freestyle 27.42, 500 freestyle 5:48.51, and the 200 freestyle 2:07.46. Gabrielle placed first in five events and second in three events that she swam for the Vikings during December.
Honorable Mentions were Brittany Davis of Pleasant, Jace Wolf of Elgin, Katie Meadows of Ridgedale, and Fallyn Stephens of Marion Harding.
The Male Athlete of the Month went to both Caleb Osborne of Ridgedale and Drew Garverick of Pleasant. Drew Garverick has lead Pleasant to a 9-0 start on the basketball season. During this timeframe, Drew has averaged 11.6 points per game and led the team in rebounding with 8.33 rebounds per game. Drew also excels on the defensive side of the ball and frequently causes disruptions for anyone he guards.
Caleb Osborne of Ridgedale is a senior bowler for the Rockets. Caleb has a 206 average game in bowling with a game high of 265. His best two game series is a 460. Caleb is both a leader and captain of the bowling team, who works to motivate his teammates.
Honorable Mentions were Cantyn Belmer of Elgin, Tyler Longstreth of Marion Harding, and Jordan Hale of River Valley.
