Rachel Theriot scored 26 points and Jordan Hooper had 24 to spark a late rally that pushed No. 17 Nebraska’s winning streak to seven with a 67-59 win over Ohio State on Thursday.

Ohio State led 52-44 with 8:02 left, but the Cornhuskers (20-5, 10-3 Big Ten) put together a 17-0 run, holding the Buckeyes scoreless until just 43 seconds remained. Then Theriot hit six free throws to ice the game.
“For 35 minutes we played well and really competed,” Kevin McGuff said after the game. “It wasn’t that we weren’t trying (in the end). We just made too many mistakes. (I told the team) this one should hurt because we had a real chance to beat a great team but we didn’t finish it out.”
Emily Cady and Hailie Sample pulled down 11 rebounds apiece for Nebraska, which also made 13 of 16 free throws. Ohio State was just 2 of 4 from the line.
