Indoor soccer league seeks middle & high school players

A Marion soccer association is running a winter indoor soccer (Futsal) program. Modified FIFA Futsal rules will be followed. Teams are organizing now and play begins late January.

Games will be played on Saturday afternoons in the gym at the Marion Christian Center on Richland Road. It is coed and teams can be all boys, all girls, or mixed. The cost is $60 per player.

Futsal is a 5 v 5 game generally played on a basketball court where the side and end lines are out-of-bounds. It is fast paced and provides more opportunities to work on foot-skills and ball-control compared with soccer played outdoors.

The league is being sponsored and organized by Marion faith-based soccer/sports organization KASA (Kingdom Alive Sports Association). Players and parents must sign on to a Code of Conduct. Games will open with a devotional time and a prayer.

High school teams can enter as this league does not violate OHSAA rules for high school soccer players.
