Cavaliers make it 12 straight, beat Clippers 105-94

The Los Angeles Clippers found out their mid-January home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers was no joke on Thursday. In their only trip to Ohio, they were frustrated and dominated, 105-94, at The Q on national television.

With the game decided, 94-63, after three quarters, the starters for both teams sat out the fourth. The final score wasn’t indicative of what actually occurred. The Clippers’ bench outscored the Cavaliers’ bench, 31-11 in the fourth.

For the first 36 minutes, Los Angeles (33-17) was outclassed, outplayed, outcoached and at times appeared outnumbered with the way the Cavaliers (31-20) were flying around the court for transition dunks.

The Clippers are known for their high-flying act, but Cleveland held them to one dunk through the first three quarters. The Cavaliers hammered down four in that span, assuring themselves of a 12th consecutive win.

After producing a season-low five points in Monday’s win over the 76ers, Kevin Love came out with an aggressive edge, scoring 10 points in the game’s first three minutes. He finished just short of claiming his 28th double double, ending with a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds.

LeBron James supplied 23 points and nine assists in 27 minutes. Every Cavalier starter finished in double figures.
