Minus one of their Big Three, the Cleveland Cavaliers were still able to do away with the Orlando Magic, winning 123-108 on Sunday night at the Amway Center.
Cleveland (43-25) gave Kevin Love the night off for rest purposes, but his absence wasn’t enough to give Orlando (21-47) a competitive advantage. The Cavaliers went on to extend their winning streak to four.
Following his 57-point performance on Thursday against San Antonio, Kyrie Irving finished with a game-high of 33 points 12-for-15 from the floor. He is a combined 32-for-47 in his last two games and is 11-of-12 from downtown in the span.
J.R. Smith scored 25 points and was 6-of-11 from 3-point range. LeBron James contributed 21 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists.
The Magic came out strong in the first quarter, but the Cavaliers used their depth and experience to wear down the inexperienced bunch as the game went on.
Kendrick Perkins stepped up and played quality minutes by freeing up his teammates with rock-solid screens, and Iman Shumpert provided play-making ability from the second unit.
The Cavaliers have swept the season series with Orlando 3-0. Cleveland has defeated Orlando 10 straight times.
Victor Oladipo put in 25 points for the Magic. Tobias Harris had 24 points and eight boards, and Nikola Vucevic added 22 points and 15 rebounds. Elfrid Payton finished one rebound shy of a triple-double, registering 13 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists.
